We organize many events and volunteer days. We also co-sponsor and collaborate with neighborhood groups. Helping to make South Buffalo a more fun, friendly and beautiful place.

Parade of Circles

The Parade was organized in celebration of culmination of the beautification of McKinley Parkway. It was established in June 2001. Parade is held yearly, the first Sunday of June (June 2, 2013) at 2:30 pm. Parade runs from Dorrance Circle to Heacock Park. Picnic in the park afterwards with plenty of activities for the kids.
Parade features music and dancing and all the groups that make our neighborhoods special. We now co-sponsor the event with the South Buffalo Chamber. Past yearly nominees: Congressman Brian Higgins, Joe Crowley, Sisters of Mercy, Block Clubs, Olmsted Park Conservancy, Teachers & Students of Neighboring Schools, and Buffalo Firemen.

Garden Walk

Annual Tour of Gardens is held the 3rd Sunday of July (July 21, 2013). Showcasing the gardens of South Buffalo and the Old First Ward. This year's Garden Walk will be held 9am-3pm.

Christmas in Caz Park

Is held the first Saturday of December (Dec. 7, 2013) beginning with the blessing and lighting of the tree located on Abbott and Potter's Road. The tree was planted in memory of Allan Karns. Christmas in the Park originated with the South Buffalo Chamber of Commerce. Our organization is now a co-sponsor of this event. The evening is filled with Santa arriving by firetruck, carriage rides, caroling by an outdoor fire, hot chocolate, Santa Claus ... an old-fashioned Christmas in the Park!

South Park Italian Festival

Yearly celebration of Italian heritage held in August (date to be announced), at South Park, by the Botanical Gardens. South Buffalo Alive is co-sponsor for this event.
